Dynamic Psychotherapy

Dr. Wand Jewell, LCSW

Begin to live your dreams. Improve coping and communication skills. Improve relationships…with yourself and others. Make the life changes you want.

Dynamic Psychotherapy is a term first used by Harry Stack Sullivan, a great psychoanalyst in the early 1900s who was one of the first to treat people who had psychological problems with respect and equality. He stated, “We are all more simply human than otherwise.” It is with this philosophy that I treat each person who comes to me for help. This therapy is based on equality between myself as the therapist and you as the client. In this process of respect and active working together a great deal of growth can happen. There many possibilities in therapeutic growth with your willingness and my experience.

I love how Wanda makes you feel at ease. I quickly left behind the negative idea of “I’m going to work on my problems” and moved to “I’m going to discover what makes me happy.” Watching this episode made me think how pleasant it would be to explore these possibilities with her.
