STRESS
What do you do when you’re stressed out? How do you deal with the anxiety? For a lot of my clients the solutions of the past aren’t working anymore. Previously they did their best to ignore the stress or the situations that were causing the stress, especially the “dark side” emotions they were feeling. These emotions are the feelings and experiences that we want to forget. The abuse, trauma, and pain that we refuse to deal with. Eventually, most of my stress clients turned to pharmaceuticals, alcohol, and recreational drugs to drown their hurt and hide their pain. I once heard someone ask an alcoholic, “What is it that you are trying to forget?” The alcoholic strangely sobered up for a brief moment and said, “Everything”. Because of their inability to fully process the hurt they feel the are opting for a life of unconsciousness. They feel the pain more acutely because it’s always trying to come to the surface so that it can release but the cocktails drown out any ability to release these feelings. Eventually, our bodies will deal with our suppressed fears, anxieties, and emotions for us by creating illness, pain, and physical dysfunction. Not all dis-ease is caused by our emotions but from experience its safe to say that a large percentage of them are.
When working with stress the first thing I ask my clients to do is to stop managing it. Whatever they are doing to not feel I ask them to stop – if they can. Sometimes we work slowly to ween them off of whatever they are using as a way to not feel. This generally comes with a lot of resistance and a fear of being overwhelmed by their feelings, especially the feelings that have been hidden in the dark. A lot of my work focuses on allowing. When we allow and let go of controlling we can process our feelings. In a strange way we actually gain more control as the suppressed feelings are being heard and their energy is no longer prompting us to “act out” in negative and often painful and self-abusive ways. I remind my clients that we are feeling machines, like babies. A baby can be crying one moment, giggling the next, and sleeping restfully the next. When we give permission to ourselves to fully feel then these suppressed emotions can move through us. Sometimes we need to cry uncontrollably for a time…realize that the longer you suppress the feelings, the greater the anxiety build up around it, and the more powerful you create it. When we give permission for that suppressed feeling to be hear and experienced it will inevitably start to morph into something else - from rage to anger to sadness to indifference, and eventually joy.
In hypnosis we can allow this giant balloon of suppressed feelings to be pricked by the pin of consciousness thus letting the stress and anxiety escape comfortably and consistently. We speak directly to the subconscious mind and give it permission to vent and release. Some people are like giant sponges that suck up everything around them, especially if they are living a highly stressed existence. Through relaxation, meditation, yoga, exercise, hypnosis, etc. that sponge can get wrung out and in doing so, especially, with hypnosis, the subconscious mind learns how to process stress and fearful emotions differently and more efficiently.
Recently, I was sent a request to post a link in my blog regarding solutions for stress. Although most of the points in the article are valid it’s important to recognize the level of stress being experienced. These suggestions are mostly good for daily living but if your stress or anxiety goes deeper then that give me a call or send me a comment. I’d be honored to help!

I’m Lucky!
More and more I’m feeling like a lucky person! Just yesterday this cool organic gardener who is a friend of a friend on Face Book came to my place to help me install an irrigation system for FREE! I bought the supplies (about $80) and he taught me how to do the rest. Way Cool! Luck seems to be something that you can create. Just the other day I was reading a study from a British researcher who found that people who consider themselves lucky are and people who consider themselves unlucky aren’t. Pretty simple until you dig deeper. This researcher started teaching unlucky people how to think “lucky” and they now these unlucky people consider themselves lucky. For me, it comes down to gratitude. When you are feeling lucky you are feeling grateful and those feelings attract joy which then attracts more lucky. Author Marc Myers talks about this in his book How to Make Luck.
So, in the spirit of gratitude, THANK YOU Robert Hartman for bringing more luck into my life, for teaching me how to build my own irrigation system, and for making my garden happy! You rock! For more information on organic gardening and Robert Hartman click HERE!

Gratitude…a process of now!
Some times I have to stop and talk with God. Actually, I do this all the time but there are times we need to have a one on one conference. This week has been one of those times. For me, God is the Universe, life force, source energy, The Creator, – D…All of the above. In my sense of spirituality God is all there is, within everything and of everything so it is easy to be with and talk with God. My favorite place to have these conferences when necessary was in the garden of my old house. I’ve recently moved from there and my new home is surrounded by concrete…not good. I don’t get why people think it’s okay to cement over the world but I digress. I’m in the process of saving up some funds to break out all the concrete and plant a beautiful garden so until then I’m communing in my living room looking up at a beautiful huge tree! It feels strong and consistent. Life God.
These past several months I’ve slipped back into old thinking patterns. I’m feeling frustrated, alone, and worried. I hate feeling that way. With all the education, training, and dying I’ve done you would think that I’d be beyond all this. Not so, at least not yet. I’m close to being done with this way of being though. I often council my clients that when things get the most tough and you feel the most confused and lost then that’s the time you are closest to a break through. Well, I’m there! All week people have complimented me on how fantastic my audition for the OWN Network was and on what a great, fun, and interesting resource Create Your Health is. Well, I need to take that in! So, I am, right now. In this moment I am allowing for the gratitude and appreciation that has been shared with me to come into my being and I say THANK YOU! Whew, that feels better. So, just for today, right now, I am acknowledging that all is well. And, right now. And now. That God is with me not far away from me and that I am in alignment with my purpose. And, that this little healing I am experiencing through sharing this with you in this moment is part of that purpose.
Thanks for listening!

Every now and again I find a fantastic article that I think NEEDS to be shared with as many people as possible. This is one of those. For a long time I’ve spoken out against pesticides and what they are doing to the insect, bird, and over all animal population not to mention the dire effects pesticides have on our health, wellness, and longevity. This article from the Health Freedom Alliance is something we should all pay attention to. not only are pesticides being shown to be connected to ADD/ADHD bit links to cancer and other growing illnesses are being discovered.

TRAUMA
Until recently I didn’t really understand what trauma was. I thought that trauma and the emotional problems that often manifest from experiencing trauma (anxiety, PTSD, etc.) was something that happened to people who witnessed a brutal murder, who were violently raped, or who experienced war situations and dangers like that. I’ve never experienced any of those things…thankfully! But, I’ve recently discovered that I am experiencing trauma issues. I have been in multiple accidents, shattered my knee, lost my big dream of being a dancer, been helped up at gun point, attacked while living in Mexico, and come close to dying several times. For some reason I didn’t equate those things as being traumatic…go figure. Recently, I’ve been under a lot of stress and this stress is feeding into what I’ve discovered to be a trauma loop. Life has been difficult and I’ve been having a rough time enjoying all the things that make me happy. When something wonderful happens, even if it’s something I’ve been really desiring or looking forward to, I have no sense of happiness or accomplishment. I’ve been restless, fatigued, and anxious. Worry has become the norm and no amount of meditation, exercise, prayer, or “down time” has made it better. I’ve learned that this is a classic “symptom” of trauma.
Thankfully, I’ve made a friend in Emily Van Horn. She is a holistic practitioner and a specialist in trauma release using a technique called Somatic Trauma Release…and it works. CYH will be filming an episode with Emily next month so be sure to tune in and see what this awesome technique is all about. If you’re feeling trauma and it’s stuck in your body, as mine was, then this will be a great practice and “opening” towards finding peace again and relief. Stay tuned…

Expect a miracle!
Just the other day I was walking around the beautiful Silver Lake with a friend and our dogs. We were discussing life things and it became very clear that we have two very different approaches to life. She is of the thinking that you take life as it comes and that expectations are not good. It’s a sort of passive approach to living and one that I’ve experienced for many years. I on the other hand think that life is here for us to grab onto. To fully engage in. I’m tied of waiting for the Universe to catch up and I used to always think that success is just around the corner…quite frankly, with that way of thinking it’s always going to be around the corner. Now, I believe that the world is shaped by us – out thoughts, feelings, desires, etc. and that if we expect little or nothing from life then that’s exactly what you’ll get. I expect miracles, I expect financial well being, I expect success…NOW! The trick in having those expectations is to not be married to the results or attached to the “fantasy” of those things. It’s a fine balancing act where on the one hand I am telling the Universe exactly what I want and on the other hand allowing myself to be happy and as present as possible in the now…in this moment. I’m done waiting. I’m done being patient and hoping for the best. Buddhist philosophy and even some quantum theory tells us that our thoughts directly affect the world we live in. Life is too precious to wait for all the things we want. For me personally, the things I want to do are powerful and connected to this moment. I want to give as many people as possible in the entire world choices for healing their lives! I want to bring healing therapies, cutting edge Western medicine and alternative therapies, to as many people as possible and I want to do that on TV, internet, film, and radio. Your reading this is helping me to bring that desire out of the ethers and into the physical world and it’s happening NOW. I’m not thinking I’d like that to happen. I’m thinking I want that to happen and that it is happening and patience is only a virtue when movement is still happening. If nothing is happening then there is nothing to be patient for. So, my advice is to live life now, to be in the moment now, and to expect each and every moment to be the miracle it is. Grab life by the “balls” and make it what you want it to be while you still can before time runs out.

As many of you know, I’m against adding fluoride to our drinking water. Interestingly enough some of the last municipalities to have resisted this Federal mandate are starting to fluoridate their public water supplies. After losing the legal battles they seem to have no choices. Ironically, at the same time the medical advisory boards that first initiated the fluoridation some 30+ years ago are now changing their tune as to the importance and dangers of fluoride. Now, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association are passing along information to consumers, especially mothers, cautioning them against using fluoridated tap water mixed with reconstituted baby formula. Household Cleaners
As a pet owner and someone who tries his best to be “green” I often find household cleaners to be confusing when it comes to what they are made of. A few years ago there was a slight uproar about the new Swiffer floor cleaners and their possibly causing cancer and nervous system disorders in dogs. I try to support eco-friendly cleaning products but often they just don’t get the job done. Well, thankfully someone is doing something about letting us know what’s really in cleaning products so we can make a more responsible choice when we buy. I still encourage everyone to buy cleaning products that are environmentally friendly like TKO Orange but if you don’t it’s always better to be educated about what you are buying AND what’s inside it.

Focus on: Organizing for better living
What does being organized mean to you? Some people say it means knowing where things are when you need them. Others say being organized is the ability to respond to life situations quickly and easily because the “tools” you need to respond with are right at your fingertips. Each of these things is true but the fantastic Kristine Oller takes them one step further. Kristine believes that being organized is more than just knowing where your things are. It’s a state of mind, even a sense of peace that allows you to react effortlessly to stressful situations and to achieve your dreams in a manner that is calm and focused. When you are organized you come at life with a different energy because everything you need is easily accessible to you. AND, most importantly, the things you don’t need aren’t in your way or even blocking you from moving ahead. Kristine is part organizational expert, part psychologist, and part spiritual guru.
Recently, Kristine taped an episode of CreateYourHealth.com. On the show she spoke of the importance of making room for what you want in your life; room for your dreams, desires, and aspirations to grow and manifest in the physical world. She very clearly spoke of the need to get rid of things that no longer served you. So you set your office up two years ago, even six months ago, take a look at it and ask yourself if it really serves you. Is there an old printer (or anything else) sitting in the way on your desk? Do you find yourself working on the floor or in another room because you need more space to “see” what you are working on? Are you even working at your desk any more or have you claimed another part of the office or your home as a “temporary” work space? As you grow and as your business grows you might find the need to change where you work. AND how you created the space you work in originally might not suit you anymore.
If this is a situation you find yourself in then stop, take a moment to look at what you are doing and evaluate how you can make your office work better for you. For example, if you work from home, is the room that is your office working for you? Kristine speaks of an actress who was working out of a traditional home “office” space in her house that just wasn’t working for her client anymore. It was the room in the house that was designed for a home office but her client was constantly taking her work into the dining room where it was brighter due to more windows. The dining room table gave her the room she needed to spread out and better see her work and, most importantly, she felt more comfortable working in this space. Six months ago she didn’t need that space because her work wasn’t as demanding as it is today so the old office space worked fine. She failed to recognize that as her business grew so did her need for a space that was more suited to her business. After some negotiating with her husband, Kristine’s client was able to convert the dining room into her work space and her husband was able to have the home office all to himself. This allowed both of them to grow by giving them a space that facilitated their growth as business people. It seems simple but Kristine tells us that most people are resistant to using rooms in their home in a way that is different from the norm but when their productivity increases and they are happier doing their job all that resistance disappears.
Possibly more important than anything else is removing obstacles that may be getting in the way of your being and staying organized. Kristine recommends taking old files out of your way and boxing them up for storage thus freeing up space for you to actually see, and find, the files that you do need. Is there something in your space that you just don’t need? If so, get rid of it, If you can’t then find a place for it, like a storage unit, so that it doesn’t get in your way. Your space needs to serve you.
Kristine is all about asking questions. Questions like, “What do you need?”, “what do you want?”, and “How does it serve you?”, etc. It’s a pretty simple but wise concept. If your closet, filing drawers, etc. are full then there isn’t any space for new things to come into your life. There isn’t anywhere to file those new invoices and there isn’t anywhere to hang that new outfit. If something doesn’t serve you then it needs to go away. Again, maybe it did once or maybe it has sentimental value. It still needs to go in order to grow. And if something is that valuable that it can’t be gotten rid of then it really should be put on display so that everyone can see it. Ask yourself, does that old printer really need to be in your office? Do those sweaters from ten years ago really need to be part of your wardrobe? She emphasizes that we often hold on to things that we don’t need out of guilt or the off chance that one day we might need it. And she very rightly points out that this is thinking from a place of lack. It’s not trusting that the Universe will provide whatever it is that you need to get the job done.
So, let go of the old stuff that’s holding you down and make way for the new. Make room for what you want by being organized and watch yourself and your career grow. Trust that by being organized you can work more efficiently and effortlessly and realize that it is truly all about you making room for you – room to grow, room to create, room to welcome abundance and get organized.

HEAL YOUR ATHLETES FOOT
Whoa…this was ridiculously simply. I experienced athletes foot for the first time (love the gym) just recently and it wasn’t fun. In fact, my feet actually stunk. I’ve never had smelly feet and the stink was awful…almost as bad as the itching. So, I did some research for a natural way to eliminate my athletes foot and I did it in one night. I discovered that you can kill the germs, fungus, and bacteria that causes athletes foot by soaking them in two things – Red Apple Vinegar and Rubbing Alcohol. I put a little Red Apple Vinegar in a pan and let my foot soak in it for about 15 minutes. I dried it off and then placed my foot in another pan with a little Rubbing Alcohol in it. I did this for both my feet and BAM…the next day the itching and redness was gone and my scaly skin went away in a week. Nice!
Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.

HOMEOPATHY KILLS THE SWINE FLU
Swine Flu and the Great Flu Pandemic of 1918-19: The Similarities and What History Can Teach Us
- By Dr. Molly Punzo M.D.
Posted May 5, 2009
Straight to the Source
The Great Flu Pandemic of 1918-19 killed more people than any other outbreak of disease in history. It is estimated that between 50 and 100 million died from what was then known as “Spanish Flu”. It most often killed those in the prime of life, and it killed with extraordinary swiftness, often causing great trauma to the lungs.
The events of the past week have given us cause for concern that there may be another pandemic flu on the horizon. The Swine Flu or H1-N1 as it is being named, has several important characteristics that validate this concern. First, it is a “novel” or new virus. In the world of epidemiology this means that it is a strain that the world has not been seen before and therefore people will not have had exposure to it in the past. This means that we do not have natural antibodies against this virus, no natural immunity. H1N1 refers to the specific genetic makeup of the virus. The Spanish Flu was also an H1N1 type A influenza virus. As of this writing, there have been many deaths in Mexico and many confirmed, but milder, cases here in the US just this past week. A usual seasonal flu in fact kills tens of thousands of people every year. Those that fall victim to usual or seasonal flu, however, are the elderly and the very young. A characteristic feature of a Pandemic is that it kills young, healthy adults in the prime of their life.
The feeling of most experts is that this will be the first of a few “waves” of this epidemic, just as what occurred during the Spanish Flu. The Spanish Flu actually began in early 1917 but did not appear at first to be very serious. No-one raised the alarm during those early months. The second most deadly wave began in late 1917 and killed most of its victims in 1918. Note the similarities to what we are seeing with this H1N1 Swine Flu. Most people are hearing that it is “mild.” However, because it is novel and this is just the first wave, we must be hypervigilant and follow the epidemiology of this virus very closely.
Currently it looks as if this virus is sensitive to two main anti-viral agents (Tamiflu and Relenza). There is currently no vaccine and that would take many months to mass-produce. One of the greatest problems facing conventional medicine is the amount of time required to identify and manufacture drugs and vaccines capable of helping manage a deadly outbreak of flu. The virus may drift or change by the time a vaccine was made available, so this, too, must be closely monitored. Viruses mutate or change their form quickly and develop resistance to drugs and vaccines over time. Will this happen? All these are questions we must ask and trust the experts to monitor. So what can Americans learn from the Pandemic of 1918-19 that could guide us now? Were there any treatments that helped stem the tide of that killer?
A recent comprehensive epidemiological study of some 61,000 confirmed cases of Spanish Flu from 1918-19 by Canadian physician, Dr. Andre Saine, shows that patients treated with a form of medicine called homeopathy had death rates of 0.7 percent compared to death rates in the untreated and from conventional care of 30 percent or more. Is homeopathy something that we should be looking into and investigating as a possible source of prevention and cure for this H1N1 virus? If history is said to repeat itself, then the answer must be, yes. We owe it to the people we serve to investigate all possible treatments and cures, regardless of how popular they may or may not be to drug companies or within mainstream medicine. That is the way of science: to investigate without bias or prejudice and make objective decisions based on facts.
Homeopathy is a 200 year-old system of medicine based on a law of nature first discovered by Hippocrates and others. That law states that substances able to produce symptoms of disease can cure those symptoms in a sick person. In the US, the medicines used in homeopathy are produced in pharmacies under strict FDA regulations. They are non-toxic, gentle and inexpensive. It is also relatively easy to mass-produce these drugs in the event of a national crisis. The system itself is unlike any other system of medicine known to man. In fact, sophisticated new research released by the material science labs at Penn State University in 2006 and 2007 is just beginning to explain its extraordinary potential. There are hundreds of high quality, peer reviewed pre-clinical and clinical studies published in journals like Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Lancet, CHEST, and others showing that homeopathy works. Additionally, there is solid epidemiological data to suggest that homeopathy’s success in 1918-19 was not an aberration. Reliable medical records from deadly epidemics throughout the 19th century of cholera, diphtheria, yellow fever, dengue fever, scarlet fever, typhoid, malaria and other infectious diseases repeatedly show that homeopathy was a very effective system for treating disease evidenced by mortality rates a small fraction of those seen in untreated as well conventionally treated patients. Homeopathy shines in the face of epidemics. That is what put homeopathy onto the map and began a system of healthcare that flourished here in the US, in Europe, and in India. Homeopathy is in fact experiencing a world-wide resurgence because it is effective in treating both chronic and epidemic disease. Few people know that the renowned Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia was in fact founded in honor of the father of homeopathy. Many medical schools and hospitals at the turn of the 20th century were homeopathic hospitals.
So the question is – could homeopathy help again? Could it help prevent the massive loss of life anticipated by the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization from the next pandemic?
Epidemic disease tends to have a rather fixed nature. The symptoms of each individual epidemic are often fairly uniform across populations. Homeopathy uses a very particular technique for discovering the treatment and cure for epidemics. This approach is the same, regardless of the nature of the epidemic. Homeopaths gather the specifics of a number of human cases with the disease. The symptoms of each case will be carefully recorded with attention paid to distinguishing or unusual characteristics of each case (i.e., whether the cough is dry or wet, the specific nature of any pains, the side of the chest most effected, the conditions that make the symptoms better or worse, the nature and time of chills and fever, etc., etc.). It is these precise details gathered on a small representation of the affected population that tell us the remedy or remedies that will be most useful in the epidemic. Armed then with this information, homeopathic physicians will be able to identify a small number of medicines effective for treating the vast majority of cases in any full scale pandemic. A little known fact is that these same medicines can be used to PREVENT the illness as well. This is called “homeoprophylaxis.”
Homeopathic medicine is very different. The homeopathic drugs needed for any outbreak of infectious disease are already available and can be manufactured quickly in quantities sufficient to treat very large numbers. The manufacturing process is sophisticated, but uncomplicated.
According to the CDC and the World Health Organization, millions are at risk of dying should a pandemic strike again. With the H1N1 Swine Flu, this reality now appears to be closer at hand. We must turn over any stone and investigate any system of medicine that has the potential to save lives. Homeopathy is such a system. Its proven track record must no longer be ignored. Its history is clear and we have the capability to treat masses of people infected or at risk of being infected by this Flu.
For more information about homeopathy and the flu, contact the National Center for Homeopathy in Alexandria, Virginia (www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org). This non-profit organization is the organizing body for homeopathic medicine in America.

Single Payer Health Care – The BEST You Can Get!
As someone who lived in London for a short time, I was able to experience single payer health care first hand. I had gotten a really bad flu and need some attention but wa afraid to go to the doctors because I couldn’t afford to pay for it. I knew nothing at the time about the British health care system and I was terribly afraid to go. Boy, was I wrong for being afraid and worried. I was treated extremely well, never asked for any payment, and sent on my way. They even followed up with me a week later to see that I was alright.
As an American, I can only share with you what an incredible experience it was to not have any anxiety around becoming in. What an incredible gift it was knowing that I was going to be taken care of. I believe in combining both Western medicine and alternative therapies and I use Western medicine as my primary diagnostic tool but then choose alternative therapies to cure me of most of what I am feeling ill from.
One day I hope the good ‘Ol USA will take as good or better care of it’s citizens like the Canadians, British, and French do. Please tell your congressperson to support single payer health care. It’s good for everyone, even the insurance companies. You choose your doctor, you go to any hospital you want to go to whenever you need to go. Doctors get to truly do their job of healing and not administering to insurance company executives. Click on this link to help decide your future. The USA is 35th in how we treat our people when it comes to health care…shouldn’t we be number one!?!?

Organic Garden Makes Chem Co. Executives “SHUDDER”!
Recently, President Obama and his family planted an organic 1,100 sq. ft. garden at the White House. They and their staff, including the President, will be growing organic fruits and vegetables! Isn’t that remarkable! The cowboys we’ve had in the White House for the past several years had no interest in fresh food yet city folks like the Obamas are planting gardens.
Upon hearing about this outrageous endeavor by Michelle Obama and her family, heaven forbid a mother would want to feed fresh, non-toxic food to her children, chemical companies sent out a letter to the White House basically scolding them for endangering themselves and not supporting farmers…don’t they mean the checmical companies that are forcing farmers to spray toxic neuro-toxins on their crops?!?! Here is a copy of the memo distributed by the chemical company lobbying group, Maca, about the White House organic garden:
“Did you hear the news? The White House is planning to have an “organic” garden on the grounds to provide fresh fruits and vegetables for the Obama’s and their guests. While a garden is a great idea, the thought of it being organic made Janet Braun, CropLife Ambassador Coordinator and I shudder. As a result, we sent a letter encouraging them to consider using crop protection products and to recognize the importance of agriculture to the entire U.S. economy.”
If the idea of eating agent orange and other pesticides forced upon us through the chemical industry makes you shudder then sign this petition and let the chemical companies know that you don’t support their views and the Obama’s know that you believe in fresh food without toxins for us all.

DR. MCGILL SHARE SOME WISDOM
Dr. McGill has some words of wisdom for all of us (see below). You can watch an episode that we taped with her on CYH under Neurofeedback…PB
THIS IS WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE
We spend 95 percent of our healthcare dollars on illnesses, and less than 5 percent on staying well. That needs to change. And the change begins with the choices you make every day.
Being healthy is operating at full throttle—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s being alert, feeling alive and connected to life and your Source
For years we’ve struggled with an out-of-balance life and have used food to repress those facts. Too much work, not enough sleep or time to play, not enough attention to the intimate details of caring for your real self.
You’ve got to be in touch with your mind, body, and spirit to live life. When all three are completely balanced and engaged you’re able to fulfill your potential on earth.
To claim the abundant life that’s waiting for you, you’ve got to be willing to do real work on and for yourself by listening to your spirit, which whispers its greatest desires for you. Check it regularly.
You can’t keep pretending that your body will function well forever no matter how you treat it. Your body wants to be moved and fed well. High-octane foods like steel-cut oatmeal and blueberries and fresh leafy green vegetables will fuel your engine to operate at maximum capacity.
Additionally, do these things:
1) Always eat a breakfast even if you’re not “hungry”. Your brain needs the fuel from food to keep you focused and on track.
2) Include something new, healthy and organic in your diet every day. You could use arugula instead of Romaine lettuce for example.
3) Eliminate “white” from your diet – white flour, white sugar and ice cream for starters.
4) Consciously choose something you really love; chocolate for example, and slowly eat just one piece. Enjoy the experience. You’ll soon find one piece is just the right amount.
5) Schedule more rest, and stop racing through your life as if you have to win. There’s nothing to win; you have already won. (You are alive!)
What steps are you willing to take to be your healthiest?
More than two million additional acres of public lands are now protected! This is in addition to the 26 million acre conversation system already in place and the most recent lands added to our conservation system…the first in 50 years. For more information on climate change, ecology, and the environment check out the National Wildlife Federation – www.nwf.org. They have an awesome program of creating a wildlife habitat at your home (my garden is a certified NWF habitat) which I think everyone should check out. Create a healthier environment and you’ll create a healthier life!

Pesticides And You
I’ve often found myself at the grocery store wondering if I should buy the fruits and vegtables in front of me…NOW, I can check out what’s good OR NOT by going to this website – http://www.foodnews.org/. What a relief to know the level of pesticides in our food. I feel better knowing what to avoid and what I can eat as much as I want. Buying organic can often be very expensive and this guide really helps! Be sure to share this with your friends

North Dakota Tries To Outlaw Hypnotherapists
A North Dakota bill (1145) that will outlaw hypnotherapists is being considered by the House Committee on Health Care & Wellness. The bill would make hypnotherapy only possible when seeing a licensed psychologist. This could be disastrous for counselors, life coaches, and clergy. https://www.hypnotherapistsunion.org
Something like this is threatening to all alternative health practices and must be stopped. Call or e-mail the North Dakota congress to let them know that placing hypnotherapy under the hand of psychologist whose first tool of healing is pharmaceutical drugs must be stopped…

A Possible Cure for HIV
The New England Journal of Medicine has just released a report that a man is seemingly cured (for twenty months now) of HIV. This is an amazing advance forward in the fight against HIV and a promising possibility in creating a cure for people infected by the HIV virus.
CNN did a fine job reporting on the use of stem cells in which a patient who was HIV + and fighting Leukemia. The patient received an organ transplant from someone with a rare gene mutation (could this be the same gene mutation that resists the plague) that is resistant to the HIV virus. The stem cells in the transplanted organ are believed to have successfully fought off the mans HIV infection and he no longer has any detectable HIV viral strains in his body. He is also off all anti-viral HIV medications also referred to as the “cocktail”.

Yep, the numbers are inflated and/or fictional. Remember that we’re dealing with “experts,” the vast majority of whom know it’s always better to be “creative” with the statistics than to let the peons find out that they overstated their own importance. Did nobody else find it…interesting…that when the H1N1 numbers were far below the hype, the reporting methods were changed and the numbers magically (and retroactively!) increased?
